Being Accountable in Christ!

 Accountability and Encouragement!

Having people in your life that keeps you accountable and on the right path is a tremendous blessing. Sometimes in life, we often find ourselves not living up to our full potential in Christ. I believe that God puts certain people in your life that help you reach that potential.

The Bible speaks on accountability, and it states, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." Philippians 2:3-4 When I sometimes get out of line and I become blind to sin, I know that I have God fearing women in my life that will come to me out of love and tell me that I'm doing wrong. I know that they have my best interests at heart.

I have many prayer warriors in my life which have been one of the biggest blessings. Many people like my grandmother, my mother, my cousin Erica, and the newest addition to my life my Mama Christian. I know that I can go to these ladies and tell them exactly what's on my mind and they will go to the Lord in prayer with me.

The Bible speaks on praying with your brothers and sisters in Christ just like these ladies have done for me. "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." James 5:16. Having someone in your life that you can count on to pray for you and can keep you accountable makes the race we are running a little less lonely.

Above all, these women have been fountains of encouragement which has had the biggest impact on me. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 speaks on encouragement and it states, "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." I have been blessed with Christ seeking role models in my life who pour enormous amounts of encouragement into me.

Heart Check: Do you have someone in your life to keep you accountable? If not, find someone who you trust and ask them if they would be willing. 

(Ps. When in doubt, always remember that we have a God in heaven, who is willing and able to listen to our hearts desires.)
